Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Experience :

• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience within the past 4 years.
• Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

Additional Details :

Resume : Each employment history entry must include all the following : detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.

Shift & Scheduling : 2-3 weekends per 6 week schedule. Every other holiday.

Required Skills / Experience : ICU trained, this nurse would be monitoring telemetry for acute care patients, cardioversions, PACU, management of continuous IV medications

Procedures / Diagnostics / Treatments Performed on Unit : Work ICU, Med-Surg, and after hours PACU

Equipment Used on Unit : EPIC charting, Omnicell, Philips monitors and telemetry, Philips defib, plum IV pumps with smart library, BiPap, ventilator

Unit / Facility Details : We are a 25 bed critical access hospital. We care for ICU, OB and Med-Surg patients. If ICU patient, ratio is 1 : 1 or 2 : 1; Med-Surg assignment, ratio is 1 : 3-5 patients.

Previous Employment Requirements : MUST note in submission if clinician has ever worked for Sanford Health. If clinician previously worked with Sanford, they must have an end date 6 months prior to their submission date.

Floating Requirements : Med-Surg; If traveler nurse has Obstetric (labor & delivery, antepartum, postpartum) or Emergency Department skills, we would utilize those skills as well.

7 days maximum time off

1 reference from last 12 months (Charge / Lead reference type) - required for submission

1 reference from last 3 years (Any reference type) - required for submission
