Job Description

The person in this position will unload semis, stage product, or handle product after it has been cut to length. They will eventually learn plasma cutting and cut-to-length machine operating after they are comfortable.

The company is a supplier of sheet metal products to customers, cutting the metal to length and shipping it or cutting it and re-rolling it for shipment.

The individuals in this position will support the operators with material and handle the material after it has been cut to length.

In addition, they will eventually learn how to run various parts of equipment such as the cut-to-length line and the plasma cutters to process orders for customers.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 90 Day(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Roseville, Minnesota.

Work Environment

90 Day contract-to-union. Industrial, very large warehouse that was built to be big enough to build warships in. It is old school.

The people in this position are out of the elements, however, it is hot in the building in the summer and cold in the winter.

The doors are constantly opening and closing, so temperature control is not possible. However, the organization’s benefits far outweigh this hot / cold issue.

Shift- 1st - 6am - 2 : 30pm, 2nd Shift- 2 : 20pm - 12AM M-Th. 2 15-minute breaks, 1 30-minute unpaid lunch. Off shifts will train on 1st shift for up to one month.

The first day is safety training and paperwork. Must have steel toe boots with meta-tarsal covers (cannot be detachable meta-tarsal covers).
