Itron has a fantastic new opportunity for an individual with experience in creating internal controls within revenue accounting and other areas.

This individual will have a unique opportunity to define the role and be seen as a revenue accounting controls expert by key stakeholders in the organization.

Job Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Perform SOX activities focusing on revenue recognition internal control design and operating effectiveness testing.
  • Understand and determine scope of revenue recognition processes and coordinate with process owners, Internal Audit and External Audit.
  • Coordinate with process owners for the annual update of internal control documentation. Standardize the documentation across the company.
  • Support process owners in remediation of internal control deficiencies.
  • Coordinate testing with Internal Audit and External Auditors.
  • Participate in SOX meetings to monitor progress on schedule and remediation work.
  • Advise and support process owners on the financial control ramifications of process and systems changes.
  • Support special projects (e.g., acquisition integration and other special projects with financial reporting implications).
  • Evaluate, create and implement processes and controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and Itron policies.

Required Experience : This position typically requires 4+ years of related experience, including 2+ years in public accounting and auditing publicly owned companies.

Must have working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue accounting standard, SOX 404 requirements and processes and COSO internal controls framework along with strong working knowledge of business processes and controls related to the financial close process.

Education & Certification(s) : Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required. CPA is preferred.

Location : This is a hybrid position based out of our Liberty Lake, WA, Raleigh, NC or Austin, TX office with two days required on-site per week.

Physical Demands : This is a typical office job, with no special physical requirements or unusual work environment.

Travel : 0-10%

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience.

Liberty Lake, WA : The base salary is $96,000 - $184,000. This position is eligible for our annual bonus program. This position also includes a competitive benefit package including;

financial, social, health and wellbeing programs, paid vacation, 401k matching, employee stock purchase program, hybrid work schedule, and more!
