Cashier & Cafe Associate - Full time

Looking for Full Time Cashiers / Cafe Associates! Will work on both the front end and in the cafe making delicious coffees, juices, and smoothies!

Reports To : Cafe Manager

FLSA Status : Non-exempt

Starting Wage Scale : $15 / hour and up commensurate with experience

Cafe Associates are are primarily responsible for serving made-to-order coffee, juice, and smoothie beverages in our Cafe area.

Our Cafe Associates are also fully trained as cashiers to be able to provide customer service for non-cafe customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Experience

• Exceed our customers' expectations for service and provide a welcoming environment for all people and all diverse backgrounds
• Model, provide, and ensure customers receive prompt, friendly, and courteaous services in a professional manner that demonstrates our cooperative advantage.
• Support Front End staff to assist customers at the registers.
• Offer suggestions for purchases and ways to prepare products.

Cafe

• Prepare cafe beverates - coffees, teas, juices, smoothies, and specialty beverates per cafe recipes
• Maintain cafe area in sanitary and orderly condition, following health department standards.
• Ensure cafe supplies and materials are fully stocked during your shift
• Receive orders and as necessary stock, rotate, and display products in the Cafe.

QUALIFICATIONS

• One year of coffee or juice bar experience preferred
• Have or be able to obtain, within 14 days of start date, a valid Food Handler's Certificate or Food Management Certificate.
• Language ability - comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Communicate effectively and respecfully in oral or written from to staff and customers of diverse backgrounds.
• Regular, predictable attendance.
• Customer service skills - ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations. Communicate responsibly.
• Respond promptly to requests for customer assistance.
• Quality of work - demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness. Apply feedback to imporve performance.
• Quality of work - work quickly and accurately wiht a sense of urgency.
• Preferred - experience in or knowledge of the natural food industry.
