We are seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team! You will be responsible for delivering high quality care to assigned patients.
Responsibilities :
- Care for ill, injured, or convalescing patients
- Provide basic patient care and treatment
- Collaborate with registered nurses to administer prescribed medications
- Sterilize and prepare medical tools and equipment
- Educate and update patients on medical treatments
Under the supervision of the Regional Receiver's Nurse Executive (Safety), and the clinical guidance of the Registered Nurse (RN), the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), facility provides a basic and technical level of general nursing care to patients in a variety of correctional health care settings.
Pursuant to the LVN scope of practice and in collaboration with the health care team, ensures the delivery of appropriate and timely health care to patients.
The LVN, facility provides technical patient care under valid authorization by a provider’s order and the delegation and clinical direction of the RN, provides support to the care team for daily health care operations, and communicates effectively with patients and other members of the health care team.
The LVN and facility is responsible for addressing the ongoing needs of patients, working with the physicians and other health care providers, and promoting the efficient, appropriate, and cost-effective use of health care resources.
Minimum Qualifications :
Possession of a valid, active license from the State of California to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
Qualifications :
- Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
- Familiarity with medical tools and equipment
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Compassionate and caring demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Hourly Compensation : $32.58 / hr
Weekly Compensation : $840 Taxed + $333 Non Taxed $1173 / Weekly Gross
Shift : 3x12 AM or NOC shift available
