WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
- Watch for irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations; contacts emergency responders, such as police, fire, and / or ambulance personnel as required
- Remains alert for the presence of unauthorized persons and / or security code violators; approaches suspicious person and / or notifies police as appropriate;
may confront and detain violators, as required, until police arrive
- Patrols assigned area on foot or in motor vehicle, as assigned, to ensure personal, building, and equipment security
- Examines doors, windows, and gates to ensure security; monitors closed buildings for unauthorized persons and / or suspicious activities
- Safeguard against theft and property damage
- Communicate clearly using radios, hand signals and flashlights. Remain in constant contact throughout the shift
- Keep interior and exterior of the venue clear and safe, cleaning spills and removing food, trash or other obstacles, before, during and after the shift
Typical shifts are 8pm-7am the day prior to a show and 8pm-3am or later the day of the show.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
Required :
- Ability to work late hours
- Flexible schedule
- 3 years’ work experience interacting with people in a positive environment
- Read, write and speak English fluently
- Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques
- Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms Preferred :
- Bi-lingual
- Bi-lingual
- Cash handling experience
- Experience recognizing valid ID’s
- Experience in a live music environment
- Self-defense training
- Experience using metal detection equipment
- EMT or other medical background
Physical Demands / Working Environment :
- Working environment is fast-paced, often loud and stressful
- Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet
- Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques
