A school district located near Darien, IL, is looking for a full-time Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) for the 2024-2025 school year.
This contract position offers guaranteed hours, comprehensive benefits, and flexibility!
Required Qualifications :
- EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
Position Overview :
- Provide American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation for Pre-K through 12th grade students across four school sites
- Interpret in both general education and special education classrooms, and assist with students' social interactions
- Collaborate with school staff to ensure students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) are followed and updated
- Full-time role (35 guaranteed hours per week), with a contract through June 4, 2025, and potential for renewal
