Chefs de France at Epcot in Lake Buena Vista, Florida is seeking a Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager for our flagship location. Located in the heart of Central Florida’s premier theme park, our state-of-the-art facility follows a 40 year tradition of providing authentic French products to our guests.
The Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager will lead our culinary team in our high volume facility.
Responsibilities :
- Ensure consistent production and excellent presentation of well-prepared, flavorful food to ensure Exceptional Guest Service.
- Provide leadership, support, motivation and development of Cast Members creating a positive environment that encourages ownership and accountability.
- Monitor cooking techniques and product quality while managing day-to-day kitchen operations
- Ensure the proper line set up and quality preparation and execution and menu items to spec.
- Assist in the management of food and labor cost without compromising standards
- Work all stations in kitchen at a highly competent level
- Effectively train new staff to be successful in their positions
- Communicate and discuss with guests special considerations regarding allergies
- Ensure operational compliance to company standards including food preparation, loss prevention and safety standards, as well as adherence to applicable state and local government health regulations.
- Maintain good partnerships with the Front of the House team as well as strategic partners to provide a seamless Guest Experience.
Basic Qualifications :
Minimum 4-5 years experience in a high-volume kitchenMinimum of 3+ years of culinary management experienceAble to display outstanding culinary techniquesStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse employeesDemonstrated good organizational and time management skills, including staff scheduling, food costs, and inventoryFlexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidaysPreferred Experience :
Culinary or hotel / restaurant college degreeCurrently possess a Food Safety CertificationWe offer :
