About The Position
Job Title : Surgical Technologist Job Specialty : Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Varied 10 / 12 hour shifts Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years current experience in a large operating room, with current cardiovascular experience.
Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment is required. License : Active New Mexico or compact license Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) required;
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred. All certifications must be completed through the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.
Must-Have : EPIC EMR experience preferred. Ability to scrub is required. Job Description : Adhere to a 75-mile straight-line radius rule;
this position is not open to local travelers.- Candidates must be aware of their submission to the facility and should not contact the facility directly.
- Time off requests must be disclosed during the initial submission to be considered. Post-acceptance time-off requests will not be approved.
- Candidates must be flexible, team-oriented, and accustomed to a fast-paced environment.- Experience in orthopedics, ENT, and transplant procedures is a plus.
- Must participate in weekend, on-call, and holiday shifts as needed.- Traveling pairs are not guaranteed the same schedules or shifts.
- Orientation occurs in the first week of the contract, not to exceed 40 total hours, and includes EPIC training (with a test-out option available for those with recent EPIC experience).
- Required to wear scrubs, which are not provided.- Travelers are the first to float within the facility and may rotate to alternate locations within 20 miles of the primary assigned location.
- Ensure the accurate entry of personal details such as Social Security Number and Date of Birth to avoid onboarding issues.
