Location : Milwaukee, WI
Type : Direct Hire, Onsite
Shift : 2nd shift position (4 : 00 pm - 1 : 00 am) Sunday through Friday (not every Sunday. Hours, start times, and end times may vary slightly based on production needs.)
Responsibilities :
- Lead and mentor hourly employees to achieve production targets.
- Assess employee performance and provide necessary training.
- Guide the production crew to meet work assignments while adhering to manufacturing practices and HACCP standards.
- Collaborate with the team to resolve production issues.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP program and train staff accordingly.
- Supervise equipment setup and adjustments before operations.
- Champion safety and environmental standards, contributing to safety audits and plant safety goals.
- Assist in production scheduling and determining headcount needs based on volume.
- Manage raw material inventory and supply.
- Enforce company policies and safety regulations.
- Maintain adherence to product specifications throughout production.
- Address and resolve employee relations issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Keep accurate records of time and production.
- Coordinate activities with other supervisors.
- Perform supervisory activities as needed and fulfill other job-related duties as assigned.
- Track and recommend cost-saving measures to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
Physical Demands :
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, climb, reach, and bend.
- Lift up to 25 pounds frequently.
- Work in a production environment with high noise levels and physical hazards.
- Exposure to wet conditions and temperatures below 45 degrees.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's in Food Science preferred.
- Previous management experience required.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Experience in the Fruit and Produce processing industry preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting and record-keeping.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and draw conclusions.
- Ability to interpret various forms of instructions, including written, oral, and diagrams.
