Application Engineer

Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Application Engineer to join our security business unit.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Completes software installation, programming, debugging, and testing of customer systems.
• Attends onsite project meetings.
• Coordinates with the Lead Technician for onsite programming of systems.
• Produces timely and detailed reports.
• Builds positive relationships with clients.

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and / or training;

or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, Outlook, and Internet Explorer) and familiarity with various security systems operating software.
• Security License (required by state of operation) : Alarm Systems Installer.
• Additional manufacturer certifications for access control systems, communications systems, intrusion systems, and surveillance systems as needed for products supported.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications :

Lenel Onguard, Software House, Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon, and other security manufacturer certifications.
