Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Sub-Acute - Observation Care Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night, 3x12-Hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 30) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum of 2 years required License : Valid WA RN or Compact RN license required Certifications : BCLS Must-Have : - Ability to float between various like units within skill set- Experience with EPIC charting- Weekend availability required, every other weekend Job Description : Provide care for patients in an Observation Unit, including those undergoing surgical procedures requiring overnight stays, procedural observation patients, medical observation patients, some medical inpatients, and some long-length-of-stay patients.
- Work within established nurse-to-patient ratios : 1 : 4 (Days); 1 : 5 (Nights and weekends).- First-timers are accepted into the position.
- No on-call responsibilities are currently required.- Floating is mandatory; nurses are expected to float between similar units according to their skill set.
- Block scheduling is not available at this time.- Work holidays, committing to three out of five specified holidays.- Completion of modules, averaging 16 hours, is required pre-start and annually.
Orientation is provided for 40 non-billable hours. All candidates are encouraged to apply, provided they meet the experience and certification requirements.
