BASE PAY RATE : $99,500-$124,500 per year.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
The Senior Intelligence and Security Policy Specialist will be responsible for the daily operation of the GSOC and providing support to applicable stakeholders in the event of an incident or crisis.
This individual will be part of a dynamic corporate security team whose mission is to provide world class support to our partners.
This person will work on building and expanding the GSOC to 24 / 7 operations in the future and supporting the Corporate Security Team at Varsity Brands.
This unique role within the physical security space combines the functions of strategic intelligence analyst, risk manager, policy advisor and trainer.
You will work independently and with stakeholders on interesting and complex issues to solve concerns on a global scale.
You will provide deep analytic insights on a wide range of issues and develop innovative security strategies. At times your contribution will be behind the scenes;
other times they may be high visibility within the company. In all cases your work will have both immediate and longer-term impacts on security.
Ideal candidates will have consistently demonstrated the ability to conduct rigorous research and analysis on a variety of security concerns;
produce written analytic products that effectively support security outcomes; and communicate efficiently (both in writing and verbally) on complex topics, risks, and opportunities to all levels of stakeholders.
While this is an individual contributor role, you will lead projects that cross multiple teams and business functions and will need to draw on various types of management skills.
This role requires a collaborative, curious, self-aware individual that will lean in when faced with ambiguity and high judgment situations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO :

- Maintain awareness of national and global security factors and how they can potentially impact Varsity Brands.
- Collect, organize, analyze, and evaluate a variety of internal and external data sources to produce strategic analysis.
- Apply industry (intelligence, risk) techniques and best practices to draw analytic conclusions.
- Evaluate risks, deploy new technologies and conduct rigorous assessments of geopolitical conditions and local security dynamics.
- Create innovative approaches that effectively manage risks while meeting business needs.
- Develop and evaluate multiple security policy options, including assessing associated risks and opportunities.
- Ensure to maintain strong relationships with partnering teams and stakeholders.
- Maintain the ability to travel domestically and internationally, if required.
QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment, think through problems, and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Must have the ability to communicate both written and orally with applicable stakeholders and represent Varsity Brands to external parties such as law enforcement.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- 5+ years of direct involvement with researching, analyzing, writing, editing and publishing finished intelligence or other analytic reports.
- Experience developing courses of action and advising executive level leaders on security policy; demonstrated ability to coordinate / translate between technical and non-technical teams.
- 5+ years assessing risk and developing both discrete mitigations and broad strategies; familiarity with risk management methodologies and / or risk analysis techniques.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years of experience working in a security function (either government or private sector).
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This job operates in a professional office environment. Largely a sedentary role with some filing requiring the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.
The ability to sit or stand for long periods through meetings and while operating office equipment, PC’s, laptop, telephone will be required.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel;
reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; drive, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
During events, the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time (5 hours plus) is required. The ability to communicate with customers and colleagues using the following but not limited to radio, walkie talkie, text message and email is required.
The ability to lift, bend, push, pull and manipulate equipment that is a minimum of 30 lbs. is required.
