We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our team onsite at Warner Robins Air Force Base (AFB), GA.

Job Description :
The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of complex IT systems and infrastructure.
You will work closely with other IT professionals, government personnel, and contractors to maintain and enhance system performance and security.
Responsibilities :
- Design, deploy, and manage advanced IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Monitor and analyze system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize operations.
- Develop and enforce security protocols and policies to protect data and systems.
- Conduct regular system audits and assessments to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute IT projects and system upgrades.
- Provide expert technical support and guidance to junior engineers and IT staff.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices to ensure systems remain up-to-date and secure.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on enterprise-level system design and management.
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems, virtualization technologies (, VMware), and storage solutions.
- Strong understanding of networking principles, protocols, and security practices.
- Experience with system monitoring, management tools, and automation scripting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance as required by the location and nature of the work.
- Certifications such as MCSE, RHCE, VCP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Prior experience working in a military or defense environment.
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (, AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices.
- Experience with enterprise backup and recovery solutions.
