The Chief Access Officer is responsible for positioning the organization for ongoing census growth in all our programs and services.

The CAO routinely monitors the competitive environment for potential mergers and acquisitions. The CAO is also responsible for all branding, marketing, social media and other outreach activities directed at the communities served by Gilchrist.

The CAO is responsible for operating the admissions center(s) always seeking to exceed the expectations of our customers (hospital staff, physicians, nursing and group home staff as well as our patients and families).

The CAO works with our customers to assess their needs and work collaboratively with other senior leaders to design, implement, promote and service the needs of our growing serious illness and end-of-life population.

Gilchrist Medical Director Palliative Medicine

Provides clinical care for complex, palliative-appropriate patients across settings (inpatient, outpatient, and community-based settings), maintain clinical and administrative supervision of PM providers.

In collaboration with interdisciplinary team members, will provide complex palliative care for at-risk patients, patients requiring symptom management and supportive care, and developing goals of care and treatment plans.

Ensures compliance with legal, regulatory and clinical policies and procedures.

Admissions Nurse

The Hospice Admissions Nurse reports to the Admissions Team Manager. The Hospice Admissions Nurse assesses patients in their place of residence or in hospitals and prepares the patient for entry into the spectrum of services provided by Gilchrist Hospice Care.

The Hospice Admissions Nurse serves also as ambassador for Gilchrist Hospice Care within the service area.
