About The Position
Job Title : Radiology Technologist Job Specialty : Radiologic Technology Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Variable (10 AM - 10 : 30 PM), 5x8 hour shifts Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : One-year post-certification experience required License : State Licensure for Radiologic Technologist required Certifications : ARRT-R (Registered Technologist, Radiology), BLS (Basic Life Support, American Heart Association) Must-Have : Strong knowledge in Diagnostic Imaging, including Surgery and Trauma Job Description : Provide quality patient care within the medical imaging department.
- Perform high-quality images and exams while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs.- Adhere to safe radiation practices, ensuring ALARA standards.
- Act as a clinical resource and role model for students and staff technologists.- Carry out diagnostic radiology procedures, ensuring safety for all individuals.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, imaging personnel, students, and hospital staff.- Perform IV starts and contrast administration as required.
- Input charges and required data for procedures and supplies used.- Prepare examination rooms, equipment, and materials needed for procedures.
- Maintain technical operations of equipment and notify service when necessary.- Keep work areas clean and maintain equipment maintenance documentation.
- Establish constructive rapport with physicians, staff, and departments.- Participate in ongoing education and share knowledge with staff.
- Assist in the education of student radiographers and healthcare professionals.- Engage in professional activities and demonstrate a positive attitude toward the profession.
- Actively participate in quality and process improvement initiatives.- Maintain compliance with all state, federal, accreditation, and hospital regulations and standards.
- Contribute to accreditation efforts as requested.- Demonstrate effective time management and adapt to technological and policy changes.
- Floating may be required to other locations within a specified radius or designated float area.This position requires adaptability, proficiency in imaging, and a commitment to providing the highest standard of patient care.
