About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Medical Surgical - Neuro Job Duration : 12 weeks Shift : Night 3x12-Hour (18 : 45 - 07 : 15) Guaranteed Hours : Experience : 2 years Med Surg License : GA or Compact license must be in hand at time of application Certifications : BCLS Must-Have : Experience with Adults to Geriatrics - Ortho / Trauma / Overflow Job Description : Work on a Medical Surgical unit focusing on Neurology.
- Schedule requirements include a maximum of 7 days off and 5-6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.- Work requirements for major holidays, which include Christmas, New Year's, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving.
- Float within the facility and to sister campus if needed.- Full compliance required by the deadline to start on time; delayed compliance will push back the start by 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.
- Unit accepts first-time travelers.- Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 5-6.- Use systems including Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR.
- Provide two supervisory references, preferably from a Manager or above.- Candidates must submit core items and complete / schedule labs promptly to ensure an on-time start.
- Local candidates may apply under the same terms as travel candidates.- Orientation consists of 13 non-billable hours. Note : Please ensure all compliance documents are submitted by the Tuesday prior to the start date to meet the requirement timeline.
