Description : ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : \n

  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and facility policies and procedures.\n
  • Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatments and examinations of residents.\n
  • Observes residents, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor, physician and family of residents condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.\n
  • Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of resident.\n
  • Assigns duties and coordinates nursing services on the resident unit to ensure resident needs are met in accordance with instructions of Physician, federal and state regulations and facility procedures.\n
  • Consults with Shift Supervisor on nursing problems and interpretation of facility policies to ensure resident needs are met.\n
  • Report all complaints or unusual problems to supervisor. Assist with completion of facility complaint report.\n
  • Participates in orientation and training and evaluation of nursing personnel.\n
  • Evaluates nursing activities to ensure resident care, staff relations, and efficiency of service.\n
  • Assigns duties and coordinates nursing service on the resident unit.\n
  • Observes nursing care and visits residents to ensure that nursing care is carried out as directed, and treatment administered in accordance with Physician's instructions.\n
  • Assumes responsibility and maintains records for unit narcotics.\n
  • Inspects resident rooms and the unit for cleanliness and comfort.\n
  • Responsible for documenting admissions, discharges, transfers and incident reports per facility policies and procedures.\n
  • Participate in the care plan process, completes nursing assessments and resident care plans accurately and timely on assigned residents.\n
  • Completes special projects and audits in the direction of the Supervisor, CCC, or Director of Nursing.\n
  • Maintain all educational requirements for the State of Michigan to keep licenses current. Attend facility in services and ward conferences as assigned.\n
  • Maintain resident confidentiality; treat residents with kindness, dignity and respect; know and comply with all Resident's Rights rules; and promptly report all resident accidents and injuries to charge nurses.\n\nRequirementDescription\n
  • 2+ Years Experience in LTC, SNF, or Med Surg setting- REQUIRED\n
  • Must have completed at least '1' successful travel assignment as a RN (Please note on work history)- REQUIRED\n
  • RTO cannot exceed 5 days.Meadow Brookwill not approveRTO after an offer is made- REQUIRED\n
  • Covid Vaccine (if declining, mandated to wear a mask) Strongly preferred\n\nProfile Requirements\n
  • Work History including explanation of any gaps in employment surpassing 3+ months\n
  • Skills Checklist specific to the discipline (must be less than a year old)\n
  • 2 Supervisory references from within the past two years of employment\n
  • Certifications (must be active at time of submission)\n
  • Active MI RN license / Nursys\n
