Metric Geo are partnered with a Top 20 ENR-Rated GC spanning 100+ years of history looking to hire a Senior Project Manager.
They are a market leader in Automotive and Industrial construction and are looking to grow out a new mission critical division, therefore previous data center experience is a must.
You can be based in any location for this role and must be open to traveling throughout the Midwest / Southeast.
Key Responsibilities :
Procurement
- Develop and maintain a list of potential bidders, with the ability to analyze data in CPS and understand local market capabilities.
- Create a comprehensive bidding strategy for the project.
Planning
- Lead the creation of a complex project schedule, including activity sequencing and logic, with minimal assistance.
- Develop site logistics plans in collaboration with the superintendent.
Field Operations
- Implement and oversee the safety plan at the jobsite, promoting a strong safety culture.
- Ensure timely completion of the punchlist process.
Cost Management
- Develop and manage the general conditions budget, updating projections monthly.
- Establish non-reimbursable items based on contract interpretation and work to minimize their use.
Management
- Lead project team meetings and facilitate communication.
- Supervise and mentor jobsite staff, ensuring effective team performance.
- Ensure RFIs and submittals are processed by the engineering team in a timely manner.
- Implement and maintain office procedures, including filing systems, document formats, startup, closeout, and archiving processes.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in General Contracting / Construction Management (GC / CM).
- Data Center Construction Experience.
- Ability to travel.
