Responsibilities

  • The Snow Reporter's primary responsibility is to provide daily snow conditions and operational messaging to our guests and employees.
  • This includes the creation and distribution of the daily snow and weather report, writing and recording messages and assistance to the social media team.
  • Additionally, the Snow Reporter supports the Marketing Team with internal and external marketing campaigns, strategies, events and general mountain information.

    • Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications or journalism.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in public relations, communications or media relations.
  • Basic knowledge of online programming, social media and content capture.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including very early mornings (5 : 30AM daily start time) and some weekends / holidays.
  • Strong writing skills mandatory
  • Intermediate skiing or snowboarding ability
  • Social media proficiency and content creation skills preferred.
  • Knowledge of ski area operations and the resort industry is helpful
