Job Title : RN Clinical Nurse - Critical Care Job Specialty : Registered Nurse - Critical Care Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night (6 : 45 PM - 7 : 15 AM), Every other weekend, 2 major, 2 minor holidays Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Experience with direct patient care preferred License : Must be licensed Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have : None specified Job Description : Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation) in clinical care using evidence-based practice.
- Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care consistent with population-specific characteristics.- Partner with patients and significant others using appropriate communication methods such as bedside shift reports and interdisciplinary rounds.
- Practice using current clinical practice standards.- Coordinate the delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care.
- Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration by fostering inclusive interdisciplinary communication methods.- Participate in and support performance improvement, research, and research utilization to promote safe, quality patient care.
- Complete all initial and ongoing professional competency assessment and mandatory education.- Serve as a preceptor and / or mentor for other professional nurses and staff.
- Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement.- Uphold health care system / organizational policies and clinical competencies.
- Participate in data collection and pose relevant clinical questions to advance evidence-based practice.- Proactively plan for patient care across the continuum.
- Participate in developing protocols and procedures in collaboration with care managers and other team members.- Support efficient and effective use of human and material resources.
