This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced, energetic clinic where you'll be involved in everything from patient care to client education and even support with urgent and complex cases that go beyond the average GP practice.

What You'll Do..

As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll play a vital role in our hospital's success by :

Patient Care : Helping pets feel safe and comfortable, assisting with medications, feeding, walking, and monitoring their wellbeing.

Treatment Support : Preparing exam rooms, assisting veterinarians and RVTs during surgeries and procedures, collecting samples, and running basic lab tests.

Client Interaction : Greeting clients warmly, taking patient histories, and educating pet owners on preventive care with compassion.

Hospital Maintenance : Keeping our hospital clean, safe, and well-stocked, from surgical instruments to everyday supplies.

Admin & Operations : Updating patient records, supporting invoicing, handling prescription refills, and pitching in at the front desk when needed.

Teamwork : Collaborating with veterinarians, RVTs, CSRs, and fellow VAs in a fun and supportive environment that values humor and teamwork.

What We're Looking For

• Experience as a Veterinary Assistant (moderate experience preferred).
• Strong customer service skills you know how to engage clients warmly and de-escalate when needed.
• Organized, dependable, and proactive.
• A team player who thrives in a busy, hands-on environment.
• Passion for learning and growing we'll provide opportunities for training and continuing education.

The pay range for this role is :

22 - 25 USD per hour(Irvington Pet Hospital)
