Essential Duties and Responsibilities Purchasing
- Working with vendors and representatives to make decisions on what products to carry and which ones to no longer carry and placing those orders
- This includes decision making on display vehicles and sampling of products
- Communication with sales and Ops
- New product warranty-installation-pricing,etc..
- Assisting with showroom displays, set-up, coordination of sample distribution as necessary.
Marketing
- Putting the Marketing / Promotional calendar together
- Working with vendors / reps on promotions and coordinating rebates and vendor collaborations with promotions
- Communication with Sales / Ops on current promotions and instructions on how to execute them
CMS maintenance
Acquiring photos from vendors and general upkeep and maintenance of the website to keep it up to date and relevant
AS400 flooring vendor / sku / pricing / promotion management.
- Sku Set-up
- Vendor set-up
- Product pricing maintenance / changes
- Promotional and labor pricing up to date
Inventory Management
Overall pulse on what HOM has for flooring inventory and keeping it at acceptable levels.
K-bids
Overall management of the K-bids processes and system as well as listing of auctions and maintenance of drops / closeout / rems, etc.
Vendor rebates
Working with Accounting and Marketing to keep track of vendor rebates and making sure that we are getting the rebates and credits that were agreed upon in a timely manner.
Approval of flooring vendor bills as needed
Any other projects and duties as assigned by management
Education and / or Experience Must have or be working towards a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to four years related flooring experience and / or training.
Language Skills Requires skills to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Need to be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Demonstrate the ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in written format.
Mathematical Skills Mathematical aptitude to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Also requires skills to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and the ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.
