GeneralDescription
TheQualityControlIndexing(QCI)Clerkisresponsibleforanalyzingmedicalrecorddocumentsanddocumentationtoensurecompletemedicalrecordinformationandaccuratemedicalrecordpatientidentificationanddocumentindexing.
Chartcorrectionstaffareresponsibleforperformingmergesofduplicatemedicalrecordnumbers,addressingrequestsforcorrectionoferrors,openingchartcorrectioncaseswhenappropriateandfacilitatingcorrectionofidentifiederrorsinthemedicalrecord.
EssentialJobFunctions
1.ConductsqualityreviewtoensurethatallpatientrecordsandloosedocumentsscannedintoOnBaseareofthehighestpossiblelevelofquality.
2.Indexesalldocumentstotheappropriatepatientencounterandappropriatedocumenttype.
3.Reviewseachpatient'srecordforincompleteormissingitems,identifiestheresponsiblepractitionerforeachoftheseitems,andassignsandlinksthedeficienciesinEpictotheappropriatephysicianforcompletion.
4.Notifies physiciansofpendingrecordsthatneedcompletioninatimelymanner,identifyingthose physicianswhowillbesuspended andnotifyingtheappropriatehospitalpersonnel / departments ofphysiciansuspensions.
5.Performsmergesofduplicatemedicalrecordnumbers.
6.Facilitatescorrection ofidentifiederrorsinthemedicalrecord.
7.Collects,entersandreportsaccurateandcompletestatisticaldataasneededorassigned.
8.Assurespatientsafety,privacy andconfidentialityasappropriateorrequired.
9.Mayalsoperformotherdutiesasassigned.
