Highway Estimator & Project Manager
Senior Highway Estimator
CSG Talent are currently looking for a Highway Estimator for a leading US Construction Materials company, you will be responsible estimating for highway construction projects, demonstrating a strong ability to manage cost assessments, bid preparation, and project budgeting.
Core responsibilities :
- Develop cost estimates for highway projects, covering labor, materials, and equipment.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure timely submission of bids.
- Conduct research on market prices, material costs, and industry trends to ensure estimates are accurate and competitive.
- Review project plans and specifications to understand work scope and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Identify risks in project estimates and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in estimating techniques.
- Ensure all laws and regulations are met.
Preferred Experience and Skills :
- Must have Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Construction or 8 years experience within construction.
- Experience working in fluctuating weather, elevated temperatures, and loud noise levels.
- Preferred experience with New York DOT bidding process.
- Knowledge of estimating software & MS Suite.
