The Project Manager oversees safety compliance, subcontractor management, bid pricing, general contractor management, change management, and project team leadership for technology and low voltage scopes of work.
This role requires expertise in project management and technology integration, collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold the company's safety culture, fostering an injury-free environment.
- Coordinate design and construction efforts to meet quality, financial, and technical standards.
- Participate in the pre-construction process, including reviewing RFPs, subcontracting scopes, and contract negotiations.
- Manage change orders, bid pricing, and subcontractor communications.
- Coordinate with jobsite teams and provide technical expertise for design, installation, and network integration.
- Develop technology-specific scopes of work and responsibility matrices for projects.
- Review budgets and costs, ensuring all expenses align with contract scope requirements.
- Lead and motivate team members, supporting project delivery to meet financial, quality, and performance objectives.
- Collaborate with the general contractor to develop and manage project schedules.
- Track and report project milestones, ensuring proper documentation and archiving upon project completion.
Additional Responsibilities
- Manage the technology consulting process between the company and client / owner’s consultants and contractors.
- Identify and develop new technologies supporting Smart Building offerings, working closely with the sales team.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuous education and networking.
- Engage with local civic organizations and municipalities to support project involvement and union relations.
- Assist in staff recruitment, selection, orientation, and training.
