Maintenance Technician
Lifetime Products is currently hiring Maintenance Techs for Day shifts.

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician. This candidate will perform highly diversified duties in a wide variety of machine maintenance functions such as;
installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipe and electrical systems.
Helpful experience will include mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatics. Applicants must have excellent trouble shooting skills.
Successful candidates will be dependable, a self-starter, highly motivated, proactive, and organized with the ability to multi task, take direction, and stay calm in a high stress environment.
Some Saturdays and overtime will be required based on business needs.
Responsibilities include :
- Make sound repair decisions following the established best practices of the department, with regard to maintaining equipment function, operation, and safety.
- Provides emergency / unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Inspects machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.
- Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to problem area.
- Inspects parts to detect wear or other problems.
- Removes and replaces worn or defective parts of system.
- Locates damaged air and hydraulic pipes on machine, and measures, cuts, threads, and installs new pipe.
- Operates machines and equipment to test operation following repair.
- Repairs broken parts.
- Assists Mechanical Engineer to modify drawings or designs.
- Troubleshoot and understand electrical circuits, schematics, and prints
- Stays calm and methodical in high stress situations.
Qualifications :
- Must be a great communicator with a positive attitude and a great degree of common sense.
- Requires a good mechanical aptitude and experience with the setup, operation, and trouble-shooting of automated production machinery.
Experience with plastics blow molding experience is a plus.
- Valid driver's license is required, clean MVR, and will be required to become forklift certified.
- Overtime and some Saturdays may be required, as well as some flexibility with hours or on-call availability.
- Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as routine reports and correspondence, safety rules, procedure manuals, and general business documents.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral, or diagram form, and ability to deal with problems involving several variables.
- Proficient computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping and working knowledge of Microsoft office which include Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
