About The Position
Job Title : Medical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Laboratory Technician Job Specialty : Laboratory Job Duration : Not Specified Shift : Variable Shifts Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Entry Level License : - 2-year Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or - 4-year Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) Certifications : Eligibility requirements as listed with ASCP for certification as an MLT or MLS Must-Have : Verified interest in direct hire Job Description : - Perform, evaluate, and correlate test procedures.
- Assist in the selection and evaluation of test methods. - Participate in the education and professional development of laboratory personnel, new employees, and students.
- Engage in routine administrative and non-routine technical functions. - Work in a laboratory that operates seven days a week, twenty-four hours per day.
- Responsibilities may include working predominantly one shift or a rotational schedule encompassing day, evening, and night shifts, including weekends.
- Participate in rotational coverage of holidays. - Be prepared to respond in cases of staffing shortages, emergencies, or unexpected workload increases, which includes working additional weekends if necessary.
- Expected to respond in the event of a disaster.
