Senior Accounting Analyst - Construction | Remote (must be Nashville based)
Looking for a sharp candidate excited about a growing company to join as a Senior Accounting Analyst . This position will have a multitude of growth opportunities within the company.
They are looking for a candidate who is excited to come in and look at files / processes, propose solutions for better efficiency, and execute on those items.
Role will be a part of several system and business integrations so will get great experience there. It is not a role that will do the same thing every day and can really have the opportunity to make the position what they want and do things that interest them.
Fully remote with some travel to Indianapolis and must be based in Nashville.
HIGH preference for public accounting experience.
Primary Responsibilities
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and be the leader who understands root causes of variances, proposes solutions, and resolves discrepancies.
- Maintain an accurate accounting ledger by posting journal entries in accordance with GAAP accrual accounting standards.
- Identify and drive process improvements and efficiencies throughout the close process
- Responsible for weekly cash reconciliations and monthly bank reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and working collaboratively to resolve open items
- Perform testing on system upgrades and integrations
- Lead credit card transaction posting process in collaboration with brand office managers
- Own corporate credit card administration processes
- Perform analysis on payroll to properly allocate costs to the P&L
- Manage forward momentum of projects alongside day-to-day responsibilities
- Develop strong relationships with the accounting team and brand office managers
- Attend relevant training sessions and meetings
