• C.T. Tech certified preferred

n Job Summary

nThe Computed Tomography (C.T.) Technologist is a highly skilled professional who uses specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross sectional images of the human anatomy which aid radiologists in diagnosing a wide variety of diseases and disorders.

nDuties n n n t

• Operate head or body x-ray scanners which create a computer-generated cross-sectional image, commonly called a CAT (Computed Axial Tomography) Scan n t
• Responsible for educating and preparing patients for their examinations n t
• Provide patient care that is essential to the performance of a variety of procedures n t
• Take patient medical history before an exam n t
• Position patients so desired anatomy will be demonstrated n t
• Determine and set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology n t
• Assume responsibility for the safety, mental and physical comfort of patients n t
• Supervised by a board-certified radiologist but afforded a great amount of independence and responsibility n t
• Performs other duties as assigned n

n Lifting Requirements : Heavy lifting : up to 100 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and / or carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
