Environmental Aide
Summary : To perform the routine cleaning and general care of the various components of and areas around the Museum in order to maintain a clean and aesthetically pleasing facility for staff and guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Perform daily cleaning of public areas and non-public areas. Some example areas are restrooms, galleries, offices, corridors, and break rooms.
Work will include cleaning walls, doors, furniture, refrigerators, microwaves, toilets, and sinks. Dispose of trash and clean trash cans.
Dust mop, sweep, wet mop, and vacuum floors. Restock restroom supplies.
- Complete deep cleaning tasks as scheduled and upon request.
- Run floor scrubbers on a weekly basis or as needed.
- Set up and break down equipment / furniture used for museum events. Ensure event setups are completed in a timely manner.
- Deliver incoming mail packages to employees.

Qualifications :
- Must understand the safe and effective methods of cleaning all required areas within the Museum. 10 Hour OSHA training will be available for this.)
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds (tables, chairs, couches, benches, packages).
- Must be able to use a pallet jack, two wheel dolly, and three wheel dolly (will provide training).
- Considerable walking, pushing, and bending necessary functions of this position.
- Floor scrubber experience is recommended, but not required upon hire (will provide training).
- Prefer Driver's License valid in the state of Missouri.
- Excellent guest service skills required.
- Must be able to work weekends on a rotating schedule, along with working overtime if needed.
Additional Details :
Minimum of Range : $16.48 / hour
Status : Regular Full-Time, 40 hours / week
