TLN is partnering up with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) Office of Strategic Communications (OSC) in search of a Multimedia Specialist.
The Multimedia Specialist will work with the Digital Multimedia Team of the OSC to conceptualize, design, and create engaging visual content.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Independently design materials for custom informational graphics, crime reduction campaigns, social media campaigns and additional related support.
- Design and produce engaging visuals (images, graphics, short videos) for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, X, and LinkedIn.
- Create animated GIFs, cinemographs, and dynamic content formats.
- Optimize multimedia content for social media campaigns for reach and engagement.
- Design and develop multimedia elements for the company website (e.g., sliders, banners, infographics, videos).
- Develop a web color and style palette for online media that is in line with existing NCIS branding.
- Conduct regular audits of website multimedia assets for optimization.
- Produce short segments for social media using video content and stock footage.
- Participate in pre-production, production, and post-production (editing) phases.
- Record, edit, and enhance video and sound projects with graphics, music, and voice-overs.
- Adhere to NCIS style guidelines and ensure all products meet 508 accessibility requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in communications, multimedia, graphic design, or related field and 4+ years of experience.
- Secret security clearance required.
- Proven experience in graphic design, video production, and web design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) and web design tools (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, Armed Forces Public Information Management System).
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) for multimedia content.
- Familiarity with government or large organizational communication practices.
