Trans International Trucking provides prompt, dependable trucking services with unparalleled customer care. We are a privately owned asset-based Full Truckload company conveniently located in San Pedro CA for over 20 years.

Trans International services all 48 states and Mexico providing optimum transportation and distribution services as well as drayage import / export from the Port of Los Angeles / Long Beach and rail service out of Dallas.

Job description

We are currently growing our business and to help accelerate this we are looking for a strong sales-leader / partner to help take the company to the next level.

The ideal candidate will be very well rounded within the industry already as this is not an entry level position. At least 5 years of experience in a sales managerial position at another company.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies showcasing Trans International's services
  • Prepare operational and financial sales department reports
  • Oversee the management, learning, and career development of the sales team
  • Directly coordinate cross-selling and joint marketing initiatives to maximize exposure and profitability
  • Coming up with potential leads and engaging with them
  • Uncovering opportunities for new business within assigned territory by cultivating leads and utilizing your networks
  • Selling all modes of logistical solutions including distribution, Mexico, drayage, over the road, brokerage
  • Contact current and prospective customers to generate new business
  • Maintain accounts by obtaining customer feedback and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Visit customers on sales calls
  • Collaborate with the dispatch / operations team to maximize revenue growth and explore new revenue opportunities with existing customers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 years of sales experience within the transportation / logistics industry.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office
  • Must be a strategic relationship builder
  • Must have good negotiating skills
  • Must be a problem solver
  • Self-motivated
