Role Overview
Were seeking an experienced Production Manager to own the critical path from preproduction through bulk delivery. Youll partner with Design, Tech, Merch, Sales, and vendor teams to hit cost, quality, and delivery targets across multiple categories (knits, wovens, denim, and sweaters). Key Responsibilities
- Calendar & Critical Path : Build and manage T&A calendars; drive crossfunctional accountability to hit PP / TOP, exfactory, and inwarehouse dates.
- Vendor Management : Allocate styles by capability / capacity, confirm MOQs / lead times, and secure bookings; maintain a highperforming vendor matrix.
- Costing & Margin : Lead negotiations and cost engineering with mills / factories; manage BOMs, yields, and marker efficiency to protect target IMU.
- PreProduction : Own lab dips, strikeoffs, handlooms, trims, and approval flow; ensure tech packs and graded specs are productionready.
- Fit & Quality : Coordinate fit sessions, consolidate comments, and ensure construction standards; schedule inline and final AQL inspections.
- PO & WIP Control : Create / maintain POs in PLM / ERP; track WIP, chase ETAs, and flag risks early with clear recovery plans.
- Compliance & Packaging : Ensure CPSIA / Prop 65, fiber content, care, COO labeling accuracy; manage ticketing / packaging to retailer manuals and EDI requirements.
- Logistics Coordination : Partner with freight forwarders on bookings, HTS, and documents; align shipping mode with margin and launch dates.
- Reporting & KPIs : Publish weekly production dashboards (OTD, firstpass quality, cost variances); lead crossfunctional production meetings.
Qualifications
- 5+ years apparel production experience across multiple product categories (wovens / knits / denim / sweaters) ; Garment District or highstreet background a plus.
- Proven track record delivering ontime, oncost, and onquality at scale across domestic and international vendors.
- Strong command of PLM / ERP, and Excel / Google Sheets (pivots, lookups, dashboards).
- Deep understanding of BOMs, markers / yields, grading, and factory capacities; comfort reading specs and construction details.
- Working knowledge of compliance (CPSIA, Prop 65), labeling, and retailer packaging / EDI standards.
- Excellent communication, vendor negotiation, and issueresolution skills; calm under pressure with a proactive, solutions mindset.
- Bachelors degree in Production, Supply Chain, Fashion, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Work authorization in the U.S. required.
