About the Company :
Our client is an investment adviser with over $20 billion in AUM focused on investing in global credit and special situations.
Responsibilities :
- Work directly with front office on new transactions as well as ad hoc requests relating to P&L, exposure, and trade activity inquiries regarding the portfolio
- Partner with tax accounting, reporting and treasury / financing teams on daily support requirements
- Maintain fund transactions and inventory in a vendor supported portfolio accounting system
- Review daily P&L and control diagnostics
- Work with the third-party administrator to help maintain / review daily cash, position, and accrual reconciliations associated with the portfolio
- Participation in a broad range of operational projects
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 4-6 years of middle office / financial operations experience
- Knowledge of financial products such as equities, bonds, and derivatives
- Strong Excel skills
- General accounting knowledge a plus
