Attorney

The successful candidate will have experience in insurance defense litigation and a strong track record of providing effective legal representation in a variety of cases.

This role involves analyzing legal issues, conducting research, representing clients in court, and negotiating settlements, all while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.

Responsibilities :

• Provide expert legal advice and counsel to clients on insurance defense matters, including policy interpretation, liability issues, and claims disputes.
• Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, contracts, and settlement agreements to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and motions.
• Present arguments, examine and cross-examine witnesses, and advocate for clients' interests effectively.
• Conduct thorough research on legal issues, including statutes, regulations, case law, and precedents, to support case strategies and provide accurate advice.
• Meet with clients to understand their legal needs, discuss case strategies, and provide regular updates on case progress.
• Engage in settlement negotiations with opposing parties to achieve favorable resolutions outside of court when possible.
• Uphold high ethical standards, maintain client confidentiality, and adhere to professional codes of conduct at all times.
• Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and legal precedents through ongoing education to maintain expertise in the field.

Qualifications :

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; licensed to practice law in the State of Texas.
• Minimum of 4-10 years of experience in insurance defense.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and word processing software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to interpret complex legal instructions and documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and handle a variety of legal challenges.
