Description :
JOB PURPOSE : Responsible for thedelivery of safe, effective, and quality patient-family centeredcare in the OR and other areas of perioperative services for allpatient populations.
Functions as an RN first assistant duringoperative and other invasive procedures and throughout theperioperative continuum in accordance with scope of practicecredentials, privileges, experience, education and competencyverification.
At times is responsible for the delivery of safe,effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the OR inthe role of an RNcirculator.
Qualifications :
MINIMUM EDUCATIONREQUIRED : Graduate from a school of nursing. Completion of anAORN-RN First Assistant program, which includes didactic andclinical components.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED : Two years perioperative RN or RNFA experience. If workingin the CVOR, minimum experience is three years in perioperativecardiothoracic nursing.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREDCERTIFICATIONS : Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR)certification. Basic Life Support (BLS)certification.
MINIMUM LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONREQUIRED BY LAW : Current registered nurse licensure in state ofGeorgia.
