Job Description : Ocean and Air Operations Manager
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee the end-to-end operations of both ocean and air freight services, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including customs and international trade laws.
- Manage relationships with carriers, suppliers, and other logistics service providers.
- Monitor and manage the performance of the operations team, providing guidance and support to achieve high levels of productivity and accuracy.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including sales, customer service, and finance, to ensure seamless service delivery and address any operational issues.
- Analyze operational data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for ocean and air freight operations.
- Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance to senior management.
- Stay updated on industry trends and developments to ensure the company remains competitive.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in ocean and air freight operations within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
- Strong understanding of international logistics, supply chain management, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
