Multi-Family Construction Superintendent
Our client is a leading construction firm specializing in multi-family residential projects. They are seeking an experienced and dedicated Multi-Family Construction Superintendent to join their team.
The ideal candidate will oversee and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This role requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of multi-family construction processes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Location : Columbus, but also willing to travel as needed.
- Coordination drawing review
- coordinating materials with field and design requirements
- Work with project team to deliver a quality project on time and on budget.
- Experience with material lead time tracking required.
- Project Management : Oversee all stages of multi-family construction projects from inception to completion.Develop and implement project schedules, ensuring timely delivery.
Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
On-Site Supervision : Direct and supervise on-site construction activities.Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
Conduct regular site inspections and resolve any issues or delays.
Team Leadership : Lead, mentor, and manage on-site construction teams, including subcontractors and laborers.Foster a positive and productive work environment.
Conduct regular meetings to update the team on project progress and address any concerns.
Budget and Resource Management : Monitor project budgets and control costs.Manage and allocate resources effectively, including labor, materials, and equipment.
Approve purchase orders and manage inventory.
Quality Control : Implement and enforce quality control measures.Ensure all work meets the company s high standards and client specifications.
Address and rectify any quality issues promptly.
Client and Stakeholder Communication : Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
Maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, including local authorities and community members.Represent the company professionally at all times.
Qualifications :
- Experience : Minimum of X years of experience in construction management, with a focus on multi-family residential projects.
- Education : Bachelor s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications : Relevant certifications such as OSHA, PMP, or LEED accreditation are a plus.
- Skills : Strong leadership and team management abilities.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Proficient in project management software and construction technology.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.In-depth knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and building codes.
