POSITION SUMMARY
The Application Developer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and documenting application design; resolving print and application issues;
maintaining standard operating procedures for the department; and performing data analysis, programming, and application testing in close collaboration with peer developers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Produce custom solutions using C# and document design tools like OpenText Exstream to create variable data templates and data-driven tables with page flow.
- Debug and resolve issues across print, email, dynamic content, and responsive design in development and production environments.
- Designed and created SQL databases, stored procedures, functions and views, reporting, and user permissions.
- Create and maintain SQL table indexes for performance.
- Help ensure standards are followed and assist in design, development, and issue resolution.
- Produce project estimates during SOW (Statement of Work) and requirements gathering phases, including detailed specific actions and total development hours required.
- Attend Internal Business Review Committee meetings and periodic project status meetings.
- Build and refine document designs.
- Determine design-appropriate architecture and other technical solutions and make relevant recommendations for clients.
- Regularly communicate with the Project Manager and Business Analyst on project specifications and hours allocated to the project.
- Alert colleagues to emerging technologies or applications and consider opportunities to integrate them into existing operations and activities.
- Develop innovative, reusable application design and reporting, clear documentation, issue resolution, and application design recommendations.
- Work with various data formats, including JSON, XML, PDF, and flat or delimited files.
- Other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION : Minimum Required :
BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology, or 5 years of related experience in software design, document development, database design and creation, data analysis, and testing.
EXPERIENCE : Minimum Required :

5 years of experience in development software such as OpenText Exstream preferred.
5 years of experience with VB.NET or C#.
Proficient in multi-tier design and SQL Server databases.
