SUMMARY

The Senior Market Executive oversees multiple branches or markets with total assets exceeding $700MM. This role is responsible for guiding employees to achieve the bank's goals, mission, vision, and values by effectively executing our Service Commitments. The position also involves managing the bank's resources to enhance visibility, foster revenue growth, and maximize profitability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively represents and promotes First Interstate Bank in a professional manner within the communities served.
  • Fosters client relationships and participates in the Officer Call Program and other business development initiatives.
  • Engages in community activities and events to strengthen ties.
  • Monitors credit portfolios effectively.
  • Contributes to branch profitability through loan interest spreads, fee income, and cost controls.
  • Makes credit decisions within established lending authority.
  • Keeps the Chief Business Officer and the Chief Credit Officer informed about credit trends and individual loan performance.
  • Serves as a resource for staff in resolving complex questions or issues.
  • Sets goals and objectives for team members while continuously monitoring productivity and performance.
  • Participates in strategic discussions with the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Offers practical, relevant ideas for process improvement and enhancements.
  • MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees multiple branches or markets.
  • Provides leadership and supervision to staff.
  • Trains and counsels staff to ensure consistent results and adherence to controls.
  • Delivers constructive feedback and conducts performance evaluations to develop and retain talent.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • A comprehensive understanding of credit principles, lending laws, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in managing customer relationships across the company.
  • Excellent communication skills for both small and large groups, including the ability to engage with affluent clients, prospects, and branch employees.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant software.
  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Required : Bachelor's Degree.
  • 10+ years of banking management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven leadership experience with a focus on budgeting and achieving financial objectives.
  • LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Valid Driver's License is necessary.
