Do you love the outdoors and have a great eye for detail? Are you someone with a great work ethic? Advantage Personnel is searching for a Lawn Fertilizer Technician to join the team of a local company who maintains and creates beautiful outdoor spaces.
They provide comprehensive landscape services to businesses and residences, including lawn and tree maintenance. Starting pay is $20 / hr .
Once you get hired on, your pay increases to $25 / hr with the potential of another pay increase once you have obtained an applicator license.
Hours are Monday-Friday 7 : 30 am-5 pm , with an occasional Saturday, and paid lunches! Company offers health insurance and year-end bonuses!
Lawn Fertilizer Technician Duties and Responsibilities
- Apply fertilizer, pesticides, and herbicides to residential and commercial lawns and landscapes using standard industry application equipment
- Calculate proper application rate and mixes chemicals accordingly
- Administers correct handling, transporting, storage, and disposal procedures for chemicals
- Assist the arborist side of the company during slower times
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions, maintaining energy and pace along with the team
- Drive company vehicle to various client locations and ensure proper storage of equipment during transport
Lawn Fertilizer Technician Requirements and Qualifications
- Must have valid driver’s license, car insurance, and decent driving record
- Willingness to take required test to obtain application license at company’s cost to further career
- Ability to lift upwards of 50 pounds and bend, lift, and stand for extended periods
- Speed and quality of work is necessary
- Must have at least 3 months of fertilizing experience
- Reliable and self-motivated
