Job Description :
- Assist physical therapists in providing physical therapy treatments and procedures.
- Monitor patient responses to treatments and report outcomes to the supervising physical therapist.
- Help patients perform specific exercises as part of the plan of care.
- Teach patients how to use physical therapy equipment.
- Maintain patient records, documenting the patient's progress and the services provided.
- Ensure all treatments are provided with privacy and respect for patients' rights.
- Follow all facility policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Education and Certification Requirements :
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Current Physical Therapy Assistant license valid in Kansas.
- Experience as a PTA, preferably in a travel healthcare setting.
- CPR certification preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
