All beds have remote Telemetry monitoring capabilitiesPatient : 1 : 4-5Night : 1 : 5-6CNA : Day : 1 : 8-10Night : 1 : 10Required EKG certification (ability to read / interpret cardiac rhythm strips) more than 6 days RTO (NO HOLIDAYS) is accepted at this timePlease ask all travelers about charge experience and include in the offer info if they have / have not worked in a CRN capacityTelemetry experience(Cardiac rhythm interpretation) will not transport patient on Tele but must be able to verify / interpret strips on the unitGeneral post-surgical experience is a MUSTVascular surgical patients comprise a large portion of our patient population.

This person would need to have the basic knowledge of what to look at and for (assessment-wise) with this type of patient.

• Ortho post-op (total joints, ORIF) experience is preferred, peripheral IV starts, tube feedings, TPN, Trach Care, Chest tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, drain management and removal (JP, Accordian), dressing changes, wound vacsComfortability to discontinue non-tunneled catheters, will wean patients off Epidural pump per order set, PCAsHeparin Drips, Insulin Drips;
• NO cardiac drips or cardiac push medsCNA : 1 year of acute care experience is required and it must be the most recentFollowing order sets (post op v / s and frequency)Glucose checksExperience with putting patients on continuous pulse ox and telemetryFamiliar with assistive devices (gait belts, walkers, sliding boards, hoyers, TSLO braces / cervical collars ect)Ambulation of post op patientsI / O documented in MLsSequential / TEDs ADLsAssisting with meals (feeding patients, passing out meal trays)Support on the (Ratio : 1 : 10)Charge nurse : typically free floatingResource Nurse Dayshift only, 7 days per week, 12 hr shiftsRTOT / PT / STHospitalist / SurgeonPA assigned specifically to this unit 1900-0700;
