Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,534 per week

Tact Staff is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Castro Valley, California.

Nursery / Post-Partum Level III RN -

Required Certifications :

CA RN License

Experience :

• 2+ years RN Nursery Experience, in Level II or Level III NICU
• 6 months to 1 year experience Mother / Baby Couplet care or Post-partum
• Experience attending delivers and with neonatal resuscitation
• Travel experience - 6 months

Education :

Weekend Requirement : Every Other Weekend

On-Call : As Needed

Duties :

• Assesses patient's conditions, develops individual care plans for patients, and evaluates the effectiveness of the care plan.
• Coordinates the delivery of patient care for a group of patients; directs and delegates patient care assignment to colleagues through collaboration.
• Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other disciplines as required and adjusts the nursing care process as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
• Maintains documentation in the patient record. Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients / families in accordance with hospital and nursing standards.
• Participates in continuous quality improvement activities.
• Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops.
• Demonstrates sensitivity to patient's comfort and privacy and expresses interest in their progress. Prepares patients for scheduled procedures to assist in patient assessment.
