Overview

We are seeking an energetic SEND teacher to become a valued member of our thriving school community and work in our Additional Resource Provision (ARP).

  • Embed and consolidate good practice across the school to support pupils with ASC.
  • Potentially deputise for the SENDCo for periods of time, depending on experience.
  • Teach a small class of children with autism and be supported by the Inclusion lead.
  • Collaborate with a well-rounded team of support staff to deliver an innovative curriculum for those with special needs.

About the School and Role

The position would suit a creative and energetic professional who is looking to have a real impact on the lives of young people. This would be an opportunity to grow professional development and gain unique experience working with children with SEND.

The provision has excellent facilities and resources including a meeting room, classrooms, sensory room, a soft-play space and a sound-proof therapy space. This is an exciting opportunity in a dynamic Camden school, with a supportive and friendly staff environment.

Requirements and Qualities

  • Experience with children with autism and SEND, or a willingness to develop practice in SEND.
  • Energy, commitment and enthusiasm to make a difference in young people's lives.
  • Ability to work within a team and contribute to school-wide good practice.
  • Application Process

If you possess the necessary skills, energy and passion to take on this role and join our team, we would love to hear from you.

To apply, please complete the application form and include a personal statement addressing the points covered in the person specification.

Visits are warmly encouraged and can be organised by contacting recruitment@primrosehill.camden.sch.uk.

Early applications are strongly encouraged; due to the high volume of expected submissions, we are likely to review / interview candidates as they apply. We reserve the right to withdraw the vacancy if a successful appointment has been made.

In line with Safer Recruitment practices, references will be taken up immediately after shortlisting before the interview. Candidates should ensure their referees are aware of the need to respond within the timescale set.
