Position Summary :
Mental Health Nurses provide crucial support to individuals struggling with mental health conditions. Unlike traditional hospital settings, Mental Health Nurses bring care directly to patients, visiting them at home or in outpatient clinics, and empower their patients through treatment plans and medication management.

Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provide excellent care within the office and clients homes.
- Conduct nursing health assessments
- Provide crisis intervention and support to patients experiencing mental health challenges.
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and coping strategies.
- Advocate for patients and ensure they have access to necessary resources.
- Success in the position requires compassionate and respectful care.
- Work in partnership with a highly skilled psychiatric team.
- Provide evidence-based interventions and therapies to promote mental wellness and recovery.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers.
Qualifications :
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the District of Columbia is required
- At least one year of experience in psychiatric nursing is preferred
- Must have a current CPR Certification
- Chronic disease management experience is a PLUS!
