We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Content Director to join our Wealth Management Product Marketing team.

This role is in mid-town New York City, NY with a hybrid work arrangement, at this time.

In this role, you'll write compelling articles, white papers and thought leadership appropriate for ultra-high-net-worth (UHNY) individuals and families (% of time) and oversee content development for key campaigns from idea generation to publication (% of time) :

  • Craft compelling content in a writing style that how UHNW investors consume content today : concise, headline-driven, highly visual and commercial with a strong call to action.
  • Build and own a comprehensive roadmap and calendar of new content to be developed based on approved marketing plans / campaigns, timely themes and business needs by collaborating with subject matter experts, investment professionals, client-facing teams, marketing team members and other stakeholders.
  • Manage quality of content and style, and a tone and manner guide.
  • Constantly evaluate what is working; topic(s), format(s), length, description, etc. so that all content is being optimized.
  • Provide writing, editorial and proofreading support and expertise across a variety of channels and media, including the Wealth Management public site, thought leadership reports, white papers, web articles, podcast / video scripts and outlines, talking points, conference communications, presentations, emails and social media, with a focus on driving engagement and producing leads.
  • Ensure all content follows the team’s Content Guide parameters and adheres strictly to the Content Approval and Archiving process.

This role reports directly to the Head of Product Marketing for BNYM Wealth Management.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following :

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum years’ financial writing experience, ideally in an UHNW environment.
  • Superior writing, copy-editing and proofreading skills, as well as the ability to translate complex topics into reader-friendly copy and produce engaging content on challenging financial subjects.

Demonstrated ability to think digital first.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, a team-orientation, and the ability to develop trusted relationships across a global, complex firm.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities concurrently, produce quality work under tight deadlines, and move projects forward with minimal direction.
  • Understanding of financial markets, investment topics and the needs and goals of UHNW investors, family offices and institutions.
  • Past experience as a content creator for a financial publication is a plus.
