Department Overview

Motorola's Access Control Division's mission is to improve your workday with smart office technology at your front door. We are looking for candidates who can help us build, scale and innovate as we develop our industry leading platform for access control and office automation.

Strong analytical and software skills are a must in order to join our team, and we are particularly seeking candidates with experience and skills in multiple technologies, in order to contribute broadly to our team-centric approach to product development.

Job Description

Motorola Solutions is hiring a Senior Hardware Product Manager to help scale our enterprise SaaS platform. The physical security product consists of a cloud-based access control system with a differentiated mobile experience that provides frictionless access to physical workspaces.

You will have ownership of the full product lifecycle and be a key factor in launching new, innovative products. You must be equally comfortable planning a long term product vision and rolling up your sleeves to bring this vision to life.

You will be responsible for all of the customer touchpoints to ensure a world-class customer experience from all stakeholders including our reseller partners, professional installers, end-users, and integration partners.

This will be a high visibility role within the company and you should expect to hit the ground running.

Duties

  • Develop product requirements and roadmap that drives the company’s vision while ensuring the customer’s needs and pain-points are a priority
  • Manage the development teams to build your products on-time and on-spec
  • Write collateral and training materials to ensure a premium customer experience with the product
  • Lead the go-to-market efforts to ensure that all functions in the company are trained and ready for new products and features
  • Write specification documents to communicate the features to all stakeholders
  • This role will work with both software and hardware teams and be broad in nature

Qualifications

  • 5+ years as a Product Manager
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • A solid understanding of NPI projects and Product Lifecycle Management

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • High energy with a passion to win in competitive markets
  • Extensive experience with gathering customer feedback and incorporating those into the development process
  • Inherently curious about all things tech
  • Ability to think creatively
  • Experience with machine learning and computer vision a plus

The base salary for this position in California is $120,000 - $150,000.

Basic Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a Product Manager
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
