Responsibilities
- Collaborate in the development, implementation and oversight of company-wide accounting policies and controls consistent with SEC, US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
- Support the close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of month-end and quarter-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidation.
- Partnering with colleagues in accounting, external financial reporting, board of directors and other stakeholder groups to develop and continuously enhance reporting.
- Subject matter expert on intercompany cross charges and related research as it relates to compensation.
- Streamline existing processes and procedures to continually improve efficiency and controls.
- Support external audit and internal audit support by satisfying all requests timely and accurately.
- Coach, mentor and develop staff to scale a high performing team.
- Leading operational improvement initiatives and other ad hoc projects
- Consolidating, reviewing, analyzing, and reporting disaggregated and consolidated results to Chief Financial Officer, other finance functions, and members of senior management.
- Responsible for all financial activities including the Inventory, Distributor and Sales Commissions, Customer Agreements, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Intercompany, Customer Agreements and Consolidation.
- Overseeing intercompany accounting and related processes, including process improvements.
The ideal candidate will have :
- 2+ years’ experience in leadership role.
- 4+ years of work experience in accounting in roles of increasing responsibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CPA license and public accounting experience a plus.
- Ability to train, mentor and motivate team members.
- Experience leading and shortening the month end close and driving process improvements.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience working with NetSuite.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word and PowerPoint and significant experience using Excel.
- Medical Device / pharma industry experience a plus.
